A significant reconstruction took place around 350 years ago, when the devoted local community, moved by collective faith and devotion, came together to restore the sanctity of the site. They erected a modest shrine and a mandapa, ensuring that the worship of the Lord could continue unbroken. As time unfolded, a temple trust was formally established, entrusted with the sacred duty of preserving and nurturing the spiritual and physical integrity of this hallowed complex.
A pivotal chapter in the temple’s sacred journey only unfolded in the year 2001, when Shri Nimesh Chandra Vashi — a son of Amalsad and now a distinguished environmental pioneer —undertook the noble mission of redeveloping the entire temple complex. This act of devotion was offered in loving memory of his late father, Shri Vasanji Vashi, a devout and lifelong worshipper of Shri Andheshwar Mahadev.

In a gesture that united his father’s spiritual legacy and his own heartfelt reverence, his vision and generosity gave rise to Shri Vasanji Vashi Andheshwar Mahadev Sankul where a new temple structure was constructed, and modern amenities were thoughtfully integrated, that would not only honour the past but also serve the present and future generations of seekers and devotees.
"The foundation of the Andheshwar Mahadev Temple Complex is deeply rooted in spirituality, knowledge, and environmental consciousness."
Dr. Nimesh Vashi, President of Shri
Andheshwar Mahadev Trust.
